Almost 10 years ago Ann DeMarle asked me and a few others to attend the Games for Change conference in Toronto, but we had to get our passports if we didn’t have one. I didn’t. I remember thinking that it was a lot of work just to go to a conference – what difference could it make? Well, Ann convinced me it could make a difference and she was right! I met somebody who offered me an internship at the Museum of Science in Boston that summer. Then she hired me when I graduated to create interactive experiences at the Museum. She got a new job, a few years passed, and now I’m working for her again designing engaging educational experiences for Harvard Business School’s digital learning platform, HBX. The moral of the story: always listen to Ann!
